Job Title: Casual Road Worker
Location: Bury
Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time
Salary: Hourly rate from £12 to £13.5
Responsibilities:
As a Casual Road Worker, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with road construction projects, including bitmac works.
Working on highways with the highest regard for safety protocols (HSG47 safe excavation)
Operating a 7.5-tonne vehicle for transportation of materials and equipment
Performing general maintenance and repairs on road surfaces
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborating with the team to achieve project goals efficiently
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Prior experience as a road worker or in a similar role
A valid driving licence with the ability to operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle
Knowledge of bitmac works and relevant safety procedures
Understanding of HSG47 excavation guidelines
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
