Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £24,000
Permanent/ full-time.
A fantastic private hospital based in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join their growing team.
HCA Duties:
* To provide support to the clinical staff in the delivery of first-class patient care.
* To support registered nurses in the assessment of care and participate without direct supervision in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care of patients.
* Deal with client and consultant requests in an efficient and professional manner.
* Chaperoning during patients consultations
* Wound assessment and changing of dressings
* Ensure the safe use and maintenance of equipment used within the clinic.
* Perform mandatory daily and weekly checks to ensure all clinical governance standards are adhered to.
Who are we looking for?
* IT literate
* Previous experience in a similar role, within either an NHS or private hospital setting.
* Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
* Ability to follow a clear instruction and feedback to senior staff
* Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
* Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Must not require sponsorship as hospital cannot offer this.
