Availability: Monday - Wednesday/ Wednesday - Friday or Monday - Friday only

Hours: 8.30-4.00 pm 

The School:
The school is an Ofsted Outstanding, purpose built special academy for pupils aged 4-19 who have a range of severe and complex learning disabilities, both from within the Royal Borough of Kingston and beyond. Facilities include a Hydro Therapy pool, indoor and outdoor soft play and sensory areas, sensory rooms and garden, all supported by a community like no other

Responsibilities:

Fantastic communication skills
A positive and 'can do' attitude
An interest in creating positive experiences for students
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Provide emotional and behavioral support, helping students develop positive coping mechanisms
Assist with planning and delivering lessons and activities that are accessible and engaging for students with special educational needs 

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable, ideally in a school setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to take direction from teachers and other senior staff
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing needs and priorities
A genuine passion for working with students with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential
