Summary 

To oversee and manage the employee relations (ER) function within the People Experience team, with a focus on supporting operative People Experience Advisors. The ER Lead will be responsible for managing complex employee relations cases, grievances, disciplinaries, as well as engagement activities, ensuring the company’s compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role will also focus on developing proactive strategies to improve on-site employee engagement and drive a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities 

Employee Relations: Oversee grievances, disciplinaries, and investigations, ensuring legal compliance and effective resolutions.
Engagement & Case Management: Drive engagement initiatives, manage case systems, and report on trends and resolutions.
Policies & Compliance: Maintain and update ER policies in line with laws and governance standards.
Training & Support: Deliver ER training, coaching, and proactive strategies to reduce cases.
At-Risk Management: Lead support for at-risk employees and reduce settlement costs.
Data & Reporting: Analyze ER data, prepare reports, and ensure accurate case tracking.
Team & Communication: Support team development, monitor performance, and manage workforce feedback initiatives 
Output / Reporting Required 

Quarterly HR Service Delivery reviews with Heads of Department and Ops Directors.
Opportunistic and quarterly reviews with PE Advisors regarding HR service delivery
Minimum wage and gender pay reporting and checks.
Case Management is updated and shared with the Head of People each month.
Spot-check results of workforce contractual compliance and completion: Ensuring contracts are permanently accurate for audits and reviews.
Collaborating with internal DSG audit support.

Key Communication 

Liaising with the wider workforce across regions when supporting the People Experience Advisors.
Running weekly or fortnightly Case Management meetings with the HR Advisors.
Attending all SLT meetings throughout the year.
