CNC Operator

Job Purpose:

The role is responsible for the operation of CNC Machines, within the Metal Card Department

The role will be at the heart of the manufacturing activity, working alongside your team-members to develop industry-leading products.

The purpose of the role is to maintain and develop professional standards and systems with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

Safe and efficient use of the CNC machine.
Reading and interpreting drawings and job details.
Operating industrial machinery, which can include a hydraulic press, guillotines, polishers, punch, grinder, or borer.
Fitting the right tools to active machines
Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
Inspecting workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining

Key Deliverables:

Ensure that client’s artwork and job instructions are in line with process
Supporting the manufacturing activity
Delivering samples to the clients and internal stakeholders
Working to deadlines and customer targets
Maintaining the machine and the systems to the optimum production levels
Producing high level product in line with the departmental specifications
Review and report on development opportunities.
