SW Locums need the services of a qualified social workers to work as Advanced Social Workers in Assessment and Safeguarding. You must have more than 3 years post qualified experience in the UK in a statutory position to be considered.

All applicants must hold right to work in the UK or will not be considered for this role.

This is a very well structured, managed and very supportive team. The permanent team manager and service manager group, you will offer excellent support for your practice and you will receive regular reflective supervision. There is a high quality senior leadership team who are committed to collaborative practice improvement and making Liverpool a place where good social work can flourish.

The role offers:

* an initial 6-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people

* up to £42 per hour ltd, based on experience

* A 35-hour week . Hybrid working model, 3 days in Liverpool per week

* Assessment service duty 1 in 7 weeks

* A supportive team and manager

* Regular supervision

* ICT Kit and support The city is well connected by rail, and road and is easily accessible and commutable from nearly cities and towns.

Essential Skills and abilities required:

• Knowledge of child care legislation, statutory guidance, best practice research, the Assessment Framework and other relevant assessment and planning tools.
• Knowledge of child development and family dynamics.
• Knowledge of and an understanding of child protection and looked after children processes as outlined in Working Together to Safeguard Children and The Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010.
• Ability to provide clear leadership and direction across the service.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and work collaboratively with partners, internal and external, to improve outcomes for children and young people and develop services to meet their needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, adapting style as appropriate according to the target audience.
• Ability to analyse complex information and data and make informed decisions with regard to action to be taken.
• Skills in implementing performance and quality assurance processes, achieving targets and delivering high quality practice.
• Ability to manage performance at team and individual level and challenge poor performance positively and constructively.
