Office Angels are recruiting for a Funeral Operative to join an established organisation in Abingdon, Oxford.

Role: Funeral Operative

Location: Abingdon, Oxford with free parking

Hours: 9am-5pm 38hrs per week | 1 week in 4 on call between 5pm-9pm (on phones)

Salary: £24,316pa plus benefits

Duties:

Supporting the Funeral Director by conducting pre-funeral checks, such as route planning and address verification.
Taking part in the on-call rota
Assisting in the transfer of the deceased into care, both during and outside office hours.
Ensuring the funeral fleet is impeccably clean and well-maintained.
Participating in coffining tasks, including trimming, dressing, and placing the deceased in coffins or caskets.
Playing a key role in funeral services by driving company vehicles and acting as a coffin bearer.
Being flexible and mobile, working across different local locations as required to meet customer needs and operational demands.Previous experience:

Physically able to lift and carry heavy weights in accordance with manual handling procedures.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence
Committed to providing excellent customer service.
Demonstrates composure and empathy in sensitive situations.
