Procurement Administrator sought to join an award-winning, £multimillion turnover food manufacturing company based in Bilston. They are a privately owned company who supply numerous sectors including foodservice, retail, wholesale and catering, both in the UK and abroad.
This exciting role, which has come about due to the retirement of the previous postholder, is based on site at the company’s newly extended plant which includes a refurbished canteen facility for all shopfloor staff and state of the art offices which boast excellent facilities and recreational spaces for all office staff.
The Role:
As a Procurement Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulations. Your day-to-day duties will include:
Creating, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
Coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Working with business finance system Sage: Input purchase orders; create part numbers; amend prices.
Managing re-ordering process.
Carrying out market research on new and alternative suppliers and products.
The Person:
Previous experience in a similar Procurement / Purchasing Administrator role preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software (Sage).
Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices is desirable.
Ability to work independently and in a small team.
Collaborative in approach, dedicated and driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Analytical with strong attention to detail and comfortable working with data.
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or related roles.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Benefits:
£23,920 - c£27,000 salary, negotiable depending on experience
33 days holiday including bank holidays
Hours of work: 8am-4.30pm with 30 minutes unch
