The Social Media Coordinator role:

Are you a social media superstar either managing communications for an organisation or working in an agency where you manage highly engaging social communication for a whole raft of interesting clients? Either way, you are able to wow us with a demonstrable, well established skill set and illustrate how you have developed and grown an online following.

We are seeking social media talent to carry out our digital marketing activities. This is an exciting role to help the Students’ Union engage creatively with our student audience. We wish to recruit someone who is nimble and proficient online who can develop excellent presence and engagement and have an affinity with our wide ranging audience.

In this role you will develop all aspects of our digital and social media marketing campaigns, plan, manage and create content across all digital and social media platforms including Facebook, X (Formally known as Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and a variety of blogs. You will work with internal and external teams to source and create necessary content, keep all parties updated on campaign progress and ensure our consistency in tone of voice.

What we're looking for in our Social Media Coordinator:

Ideally you will be from a digital marketing /social media background with a track record that shows an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, an ability to research and produce high quality written material, create engaging videos, good analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and demonstrate an understanding of sharing knowledge with others.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for social media that manifests itself through self-teaching, exploring and relevant experience in communicating bringing new ideas to the table.
