Trainee Estimator

We're looking for a Trainee or Assistant Estimator to join our team in our newly refurbished Dartford office. This role offers the perfect opportunity to develop your skills and build a rewarding career. You'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training and be supported by a fun, hard-working team. As our company continues to grow, so will your role-offering exciting potential for advancement and rewards.

While experience in estimating and a CSCS card would be advantageous, these are not essential-we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed

Here's what we're looking for:

Strong literacy and math skills.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
An excellent phone manner and the ability to build strong relationships.
The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing workload.
Previous experience in Commercial Fencing, Sales or Construction would be an advantage but not essential.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Downloading and logging enquiries as they come into the business
Take-off of drawings and preparing bills of quantities
Pricing projects with a combination of materials, labour, plant and tools
Building relationships with our clients and following up on projects you have priced
Working alongside our contract managers to assist with the on-site delivery of secured projects
