Why you should apply:

Newly created role: Brought about by expansion and increased order books this is an additional position that is now required to assist in the company's continual growth plans.

They are not done yet: The company has plans to increase their turnover by a further 50% in the next 3-5 years.

There is also plenty of NPI work upcoming and a strong focus on Lean and CI being launched which you will play a key part in implementing.

Start your weekend early: Work a 4 and a half day week finishing by around 12:30pm on a Friday giving you time to indulge in hobbies and interests or just be able to pick the kids up from school.

What you will be doing:

Assisting in the delivery of successful NPI processes.
Working to rectify any production issues that occur and putting in place corrective actions to ensure no reoccurrence of the issues.
Collection of data to be able to identify and make decisions on areas for improvement.
Communicating with all departments internally as required to ensure smooth transition of products into manufacturing.
Supporting of the test department as required
Helping to deliver Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site.What you will need:

Experience in electronics manufacturing
Technical knowledge of a variety of processes including SMT, AOI, etc.
Experience of NPI processes
A relevant electrical or electronic qualification is desirable (minimum HNC)
Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniquesWhat you will receive:

A salary of £40,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, cash plan healthcare, etc.

The working hours

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-12:30pm on a Friday. The company do offer some flexibility around this to start and finish a little earlier or later if it suits the person.
