Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 pm - 3:00 am (one weekend on-call every 9 weeks)

Our client, a respected name in customs clearance and freight forwarding, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Customs Agent to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic company that supports the smooth, efficient movement of goods across the UK and Ireland.

About the Role:

As a Customs Agent, you will play a vital role in handling import and export shipments, ensuring full customs compliance, and delivering a seamless service experience for clients. With comprehensive training provided, this position is perfect for those passionate about logistics and customs processes, with or without prior experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Management: Process and oversee import and export shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all stages.

Customs Clearance: Manage Customs Clearance for goods moving throughout the UK and Ireland, maintaining high compliance standards.

Collaborative Communication: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective relationships for streamlined operations.

Client Service Excellence: Maintain high service standards, acting as a key contact to ensure smooth communications and efficient customs procedures.

What We're Looking For

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

High attention to detail, with accuracy and commercial awareness in daily tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a solid grasp of general IT systems.

Experience in customs brokerage, forwarding, or logistics.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 1 year in a fast-paced administrative role, with hands on experience of completing custom declarations.

Experience in customs brokerage, forwarding, or a busy logistics environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
