Job Type: Permanent, HybridReed is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider for a Disrepair Surveyor. This is a hybrid role that offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the maintenance and improvement of housing standards. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in building pathology and a strong track record in managing disrepair cases, particularly within the context of Section 11 remedials.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of properties to assess and document existing or potential disrepair.
Ensure compliance with Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act regarding housing disrepair and building pathology.
Oversee on-site works, providing technical advice and ensuring that all repairs and remedials are carried out correctly.
Sign off on completed works, ensuring they meet all required standards and regulations.
Liaise with contractors, tenants, and other stakeholders to coordinate repair schedules and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, works carried out, and sign-offs.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Disrepair Surveyor or in a similar role within the housing sector.
Strong knowledge of building pathology and remedials related to housing disrepair.
Familiarity with Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively coordinating with contractors and communicating with tenants.
