Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Multi Skilled Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Multi Skilled Engineer, will be responsible for:

* Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems

* Respond to requests and reports of faults or breakdowns from staff, clients, or contractors, and troubleshoot the issues in a timely and professional manner

* Install new equipment and appliances, and assist in the setup of other systems

* Conduct regular checks and tests of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, emergency lighting, etc., and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations

* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and spare parts, and report any issues or recommendations to the supervisor or manager

* Follow a maintenance schedule and prioritise tasks according to urgency and importance

* Use and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment required for the role, and ensure they are in good working order and stored securely

* Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff, contractors, and external specialists, and provide guidance and support when needed

* Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in the field of maintenance, and attend training courses as required

To be successful for this Multi Skilled Engineer role you must have:

* NVQ Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (501/1987/3)

* City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering Services (Plumbing)

* Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations

* Level 2 Certificate in Electrical Installations & 18th Edition.

* Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices, and ability to use them safely and effectively

* Minimum 3 years experience in similar locations and appliances

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record

* Knowledge of commercial requirements of contract

* Knowledge of all requirements for administration of service excellent

* Provide guidance to trainee plumbing engineers to support their development and skilled plumbing engineers to support the decision making process.

* Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, on-call, or during weekends and holidays as needed
