Art Technician

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 17:00pm
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum

Our prestigious client is looking for an Art Technician to join their team.

Reporting into the Studio Manager and working closely with management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the studio. The ideal candidate will have experience in moving, handling, installing, and storing artwork and the ability to handle artwork with care.

Key Responsibilities of an Art Technician

* Handling, assembling, and packing delicate art works.

* Handling of sculptures, cabinets, and tanks, within the studio.

* Operating and using a wide range of tools and machinery.

* Maintain detailed records of the condition, location, and movement of artworks.

* Generate condition reports before, during, and after transportation or installation.

* Ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the studio.

* Assist and support other areas of the company as required.

Key Skills of an Art Technician

* Experience in moving, handling, installing, and storing artwork.

* Experience of operating and using a wide range of tools and machinery.

* Experience of condition reporting and framing.

* Woodworking skills, basic cabinetry skills, or spray booth experience.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is desirable.

* Must hold a clean and full driving licence.

* Forklift truck license would be an advantage
