At Career Teachers we are currently working with a primary school in Dronfield who require a Teaching Assistant to provide general support and work alongside the class teacher in a Year 1 class. They are looking for a resilient Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills to join their successful team immediately.

Your Requirements:

Experience working with Key Stage One aged pupils.
A recognised teaching assistant qualification such as Level 2, Level 3 or a degree in education or transferable skills.
Confident in managing challenging behaviours, defusing situations, and making a calm and positive environment for students to progress in.
A calm, patient manner with a positive can-do attitude.
Experience assisting non-verbal students using visual aids such as PECs and Makaton would be advantageous.Your Role:

You will be working with the class teacher and other members of support staff to ensure that the pupil receives the care required to cater for their unique needs.
You must be able to build trusting and meaningful relationships and ensure that they are engaged in learning and activities.
This is a full-time role starting this September, we are looking for a committed and passionate teaching assistant who is looking to join a successful team of practitioners and really make a difference
