Job Description:
A primary school in Highgate is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is on an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of SEN needs and the ability to work closely with children in early education.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD in Reception, following the EHCP to support development and learning.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure the child's specific needs are met.
Adapt learning activities and use differentiated teaching methods to encourage engagement and progress.
Create a positive, inclusive environment that supports the child's social, emotional, and educational development.
Work alongside professionals to monitor and report on the child's progress.Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with children with Autism or similar SEN needs, particularly within the early years.
Understanding of EHCPs and the ability to implement them effectively.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and outside agencies.Benefits:
