Position Overview
As an English Teacher, you will be at the heart of our students’ educational experience. You will create dynamic lesson plans that inspire a love of reading and writing, while assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback. Your role will involve encouraging creativity through various forms of expression, including creative writing and public speaking, and fostering a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver engaging lessons that cover the full English curriculum.
* Assess student performance and provide tailored feedback to support their growth.
* Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs and competitions.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum materials.
* Create an inclusive atmosphere that fosters student participation and engagement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for inspiring students.
* A commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the classroom.
