Senior Care Assistant needed

Location: Barnsley
Shifts: Full-time, Nights (8:00 PM - 8:00 AM)
Contract: 33-36 hours per week

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day care of our residents. You'll be at the forefront of delivering compassionate, high-quality care while supervising and guiding the care team. Your leadership will help ensure that our residents receive the best possible care in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Administration: Safely administer medication and support the team with medication management.
Care Planning: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of individual care plans to meet residents' specific needs.
Communication: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
Shift Leadership: Coordinate care activities during your shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the home and providing direction and support to staff.What We're Looking For

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Senior Care Assistant with strong leadership skills and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those we care for.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Previous experience in a senior or leadership role, ideally in dementia or mental health care.
Competence in administering and managing medication.Desirable Skills:

Experience in care planning and understanding of CQC regulations.
Knowledge of dementia and mental health care best practices.How to Apply
