About the role: Our partner school, a highly regarded primary school in Edmonton, London, is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join their thriving community. This position is crucial in fostering a supportive learning environment, ensuring that children in Nursery through Year 6 experience consistency and enjoy their school experience to the fullest. As an Attendance Officer, you will be a vital member of the administrative team, working from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm every day. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring and improving attendance levels, ensuring accurate daily attendance records, and maintaining positive communication with both parents and students. The role also requires familiarity with Arbor or similar school management software to streamline attendance tracking and reporting.

Application Requirements:
• Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or in a school-based administrative role.
• Proficiency with Arbor or similar school management systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and attendance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality records, identifying patterns, and addressing concerns.
• Contacting parents regarding absences, building trust, and fostering positive relationships.
• Collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff to support student attendance and engagement.
• Providing regular attendance reports and working with leadership on initiatives to improve attendance rates.
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
