About the role: Are you a nurturing and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant ready for an exciting new opportunity? Our client school, a stunning Church of England primary nestled in beautiful Highgate, is looking for a passionate SEN TA to work with a bright Year 6 girl with ADHD/ASD. You’ll be working 1:1 with a girl in Year 6 who has additional needs (ADHD/ASD). She’s made great progress but sometimes struggles with aggression towards other students (never staff). Your role will involve supporting her in the classroom, stepping back or stepping in as needed, and providing the nurturing guidance that will help her thrive. You’ll need to be adaptable, empathetic, and confident in using your initiative to best support her."

With a supportive team and a focus on helping every child flourish, this is the perfect place to develop your career in SEN support.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with ASD/ADHD children is preferred.
• A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or child development is beneficial.
• A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• A passion for making a real difference in a child’s life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to the student in class.
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages independence.

Perks and Benefits:

• A beautiful, newly renovated learning environment.
• Supportive and friendly staff team.
• Opportunities for professional development.
