The below job description will outline this position of: a Senior Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Senior member to add to team of our on our well established Marine based Clients offering a state of the art fleet and based in Oxford.This Senior Quality Engineer will oversee the quality inspection team to ensure that incoming product quality and out bound product quality are compliant to design/quality standards and customer requirements.

In this role, you’ll manage the quality of raw materials and moulded components throughout the manufacturing process. You'll conduct inspections of supplied GRP moulded components and work with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions, promoting a Right First Time (RFT) culture. You’ll also handle rework on supplier non-conformities, oversee inspection dashboards, and track trends to ensure efficiency. Collaborating with the production quality engineer, you’ll assess the impact of non-conforming parts and maintain a QA database to boost supplier performance. Your insights will contribute to supplier reviews and target setting, driving continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer:

• Record all Moulding Inspection reports and raise Service Calls to track and resolve QA issues.

• Conduct on-site supplier visits and audits to support root cause analysis and verify corrective actions.

• Oversee Goods Inwards inspections to ensure materials meet drawings and quality standards while maintaining supply continuity.

• Support Purchasing by collecting and reviewing supplier metrics to improve performance and parts delivery.
• Share quality data with production teams in regular meetings, highlighting improvement areas.
• Provide data for quarterly reports on supplier quality performance.

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to facilitate production changes.

• Work with engineering and manufacturing to ensure supplier processes meet product and process requirements during engineering changes.

• Assist in supplier approvals and new product launches to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications and requirement for the Senior Quality Engineer):

•Hold a Degree in manufacturing, or engineering,
• Hold a Certification in quality management. or
5+ years of QA experience

•Experience in supplier process improvement and data evaluation.
Technical knowledge in marine, aerospace, or automotive industries; proficient in reading engineering drawings.

•Product inspection experience and 8D problem-solving skills.
Membership in a professional body is a plus.

•Proficient in MS Office and Adobe.
Familiar with QMS, FAIR, PPAP, FMEA, and ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred).

•Knowledge of ISO 14001 and health & safety practices.

•Strong planning, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
