About the Role
As a Cargo Bike Rider/Courier, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of packages to our valued customers, while representing our partners brand through excellent customer service.
The role is 3-5 days per week and you must be able to commit to weekend working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely navigate assigned delivery routes using a company-provided bicycle
* Pick up and deliver packages promptly and accurately while adhering to established delivery schedules and cycling safety guidelines
* Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with customers during deliveries and addressing any inquiries or concerns
* Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to our partner's uniform and appearance standards
* Use handheld devices and company-provided technology to scan packages, track deliveries, and update delivery status in real-time
* Ensure packages are securely loaded and unloaded, preventing any damage during transportation
* Report any discrepancies, delays, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager promptly
* Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while cycling and operate the bicycle in a safe and responsible manner
* Comply with all company policies, practices and procedures
* Actively strive to create a safe and dynamic working environment.
Required Skills:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers
* Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet delivery deadlines
* Physical fitness and ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods in varying weather conditions
* Punctual, presentable, trustworthy and reliable
* Comfortable using handheld devices and technology for tracking and updating delivery information
* Can commit to day time (9am-5pm) shifts from Monday to Sunday.
