Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor (Site-Based)

Our client offers Mechanical and Electrical Services covering the London and South of England. Working directly for Clients and Main Contractors, specialising with residential, education, healthcare.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a prestigious project based in Greenwich, London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical services with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. This is a site-based role requiring hands-on involvement and collaboration with the project team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cost planning for M&E works.

* Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of mechanical works on-site.

* Evaluate and manage subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts.

* Provide support in preparing tender and contract documents.

* Monitor project progress and ensure financial controls align with budgetary requirements.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to address cost-related issues.

* Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

* Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts.

Skills and Experience Required

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical quantity surveying.

* Strong understanding of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems and installations.

* Proficient in standard construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Excel, or similar).

* Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Desirable Attributes

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Experience with large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

* Familiarity with Greenwich or London-based projects.
