What You'll Do as a Behaviour Mentor:
Targeted Behaviour Support: Provide consistent 1:1 or small group support, helping students build emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
Collaborate with Staff: Partner with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create effective behaviour plans tailored to each child's needs.
Create a Positive Learning Environment: As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll be a calming, encouraging presence, helping pupils develop self-confidence and a positive approach to school life.
Monitor and Adapt Strategies: Regularly assess each student's progress and work with the school team to adapt strategies as needed.Who We're Looking For in a Behaviour Mentor:
Experience in Behaviour Support: Ideally, you have a background in working with children who have behavioural or SEN needs.
Empathy and Patience: A Behaviour Mentor with a nurturing, understanding approach, who can connect with students and provide a safe space for them to succeed.
Resilience: You bring adaptability and problem-solving skills that allow you to manage challenging situations positively.
Team Collaboration: As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with school staff, ensuring a united approach to supporting each student.What's in It for You?
