In the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and school leadership, you will take on a diverse range of responsibilities, including delivering lessons, providing targeted support to students, and contributing to the overall development of a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to take on additional responsibilities and make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students. 

In this role you will act as a HLTA, supporting classes and covering classes as well as PPA cover for French lessons in KS2. A good knowledge of French is very advantageous, however lessons are pre planned so an adaptable attitude and willingness/ enthusiasm to fulfill the role is important

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary Scale: £90-£120 
Contract Type: Full-time 
 
Responsibilities: 

Curriculum Delivery: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will lead and deliver lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring the continued progress and engagement of students. 

Support and Differentiation: Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. 

Collaboration: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teachers and school leaders to contribute to the planning and development of curriculum activities. 

Assessment and Reporting: Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to contribute to ongoing improvement. 

Behavioural Support: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will implement positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. 

Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices and educational innovations. 

French PPA Cover: Covering/teaching French lessons for PPA cover time, being adaptable and able to teach French to KS2 students. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

Qualified as HLTA or equivalent experience. 

Working knowledge or above of French is highly advantageous, but not essential. 

Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs. 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents. 

Initiative, adaptability, and a genuine passion for contributing to the educational success of students. 

Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
