Job Title: Materials Controller

About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Materials Controller to join our Production team in the Manufacturing division. You’ll handle the movement, distribution, and preparation of finished shelters, painted parts, components, and raw materials. Working closely with the Production Planning Department, you’ll ensure timely and efficient material flow across factory cells to support our Install and Maintenance Teams. This role also involves stock management, housekeeping, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities

Material Movement: Load, unload, and transport materials within production areas; ensure proper labeling.
Coordination: Work with assembly, install, and maintenance teams for seamless loading and material handoff.
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely (certified operators only).
Stock Control: Conduct accurate stock counts, record transactions in the MRP system, and track recycled parts.
Maintenance & Housekeeping: Keep the shop floor and assembly areas clean, and handle waste per company guidelines.
Health & Safety: Follow HSSE guidelines, attend training sessions, and manage personal protective equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

GCSE in English and Maths.
Certified Forklift and Side Loader operator.
Experience in material handling in a manufacturing setting.
