Position: Production Manager

Location: Edinburgh

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 am - 03:00 pm

Salary: £40k to £44k DOE

Overview:

A well-known company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee its manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the production team to achieve operational objectives and targets.

* Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

* Develop and implement production schedules to optimise efficiency and resource utilisation.

* Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity.

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.

* Manage inventory levels and oversee stock control processes to ensure timely availability of materials.

* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for team members.

* Maintain accurate production records and reports for analysis and continuous improvement.

* Ensure a clean and safe working environment, promoting health and safety practices among staff.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

* Excellent understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.

* Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
