The department

Our Marketing and Business Development Team are responsible for managing the Firm's initiatives for growth, all public content including website, blogs and our presence in legal directories, hosted events, requests for proposals and panel applications, and the Firm's branding strategy as a whole.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing and Digital Assistant to join our thriving marketing and business development team. This position is ideal for recent graduates, motivated A-level leavers, or current Marketing Administrators eager to advance their careers.

In this multifaceted role, you'll immerse yourself in various aspects of marketing, including:

Content creation
Social media management
Digital marketing initiatives
Event planning and execution
Client feedback monitoring

Responsibilities and Duties

Events Support - assisting with organising events, under the direction of the marketing manager or events executive:

Helping prepare handouts and presentations
Creating badges, attendee lists and preparing briefings
Adding events to the website
Attending events to help with registration and catering, where requested
Analysing feedback and assisting with follow-ups  Website:

Accurately update the website with new video, podcast, graphic and written content
Assist in optimising website content for search engines, including keyword research, meta tag creation, and on-page SEO implementation
Collaborate with content creators to ensure all new website material adheres to SEO best practices and aligns with the company's digital marketing strategy
Assisting with competitor research and stay up to date on the latest SEO trends, recommending improvements to maintain and enhance the website's search engine rankings Contact List Management:

Updating and cleansing the marketing lists within Mailchimp.
Co-ordinating data input projects
Selecting and ensuring accuracy for contact data for ebulletins, seminars and hospitality events Client and Supplier feedback and monitoring:

Updating and maintain records of client feedback received from Google reviews, survey forms and other feedback mechanisms
Setting online surveys in Smartsurvey and monitoring responses
Support the firm’s ESG and Responsible Procurement, including annual due diligence surveys with our key suppliers New business support:

Checking and distributing the firmwide enquiries inbox in rotation with other members of the team
Helping maintain records of credentials and experience, including for use in pitches, credentials, service sheets, directory submissions
Maintaining records and reports on trends in enquiries from both the website and telephone enquiries General Marketing Support:

Preparing e-bulletins and other announcements on the website
Proof-reading external marketing material
Updating team registers and logs for pitches, promotional items stock lists, literature PR, insights, videos
Updating credential and team sheets
Supporting the Directory and awards process including uploading completed entries to external portals
Supporting the team on keeping external directory listings and citations up to date
Supporting with photography for the people profiles on the website Research:

Undertaking research projects as and when required Project Work:

Undertaking specific projects from time-to-time and when required by the MBD Team. Project work can be diverse and will be dependant on business needs, it may include working on new business pitches to clients, developing service sheets for specific areas of the business.Other information

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Good communication skills and competent numerical skills.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Skilled in the use of Adobe – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign or a willingness to learn and be trained.
Good working knowledge of CMS systems including WordPress or a willingness to learn , including developing their skills around SEO
Professional manner and smart appearance.
Previous marketing experience is not required; but a keen interest in and understanding of business is essential. This may be demonstrable through a relevant A-Level or degree.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills essential, together with very good organisational and time-keeping skills.
Self-motivated with an ability to work as part of a team and alone.
