Service Technician

Astute's Nuclear team is exclusively partnering with HTSL, a radioactive isotope provider with a commitment to quality and optimal performance, who are looking to recruit a Service Technician for their Didcot site.
The Service Technician position comes with a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £35,000, structured working hours with early finish on Fridays, the opportunity to work in a highly specialised and regulated environment, training and development opportunities in handling high activity sources and NDT equipment.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the HTSL Manager you will:
Ensure all receipts and despatches of sources are properly recorded.
Ensure that an accurate inventory of all sources is maintained including the locations of each source within the building.
Ensure packages for despatch are correctly labelled in accordance with the transport regulations.
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and organised.
Complete scheduled maintenance tasks.
Demonstrate an understanding of Sentinel range of projectors and equipment including how to load and maintain them.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Qualified to A level standard or equivalent.
Electrical and mechanical experience.
Well-versed in radiological safety and the regulations governing high-activity radiation sources.
Familiar with transportation regulations for radioactive materials.
Experienced in the air transport regulations concerning radioactive materials.
Personal skills
The Service Technician role would suit someone who is:
Able to work accurately and methodically in a highly regulated environment
Flexible in terms of working hours when needed
UK driving licence
The ability to obtain security clearance
