Production Technician

Product Support install engineer supports the customers with repairs, maintenance and modifications of their equipment. As the department grows the opportunity for a factory based technician / Installer working from technical drawings and job cards to produce repair kits and bespoke modification kits has arisen.
The following activities and responsibilities form the important and critical aspects of the Job Description. However, there will be additional responsibilities associated with the day to day business requirements which will be associated with this position.
Key Tasks
Production
Responsible for production related activities in the factory including:
Assembling products using technical drawings, including but not limited to: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as trolleys, trailers, brake changers; Access Equipment – steps (all sizes), platforms, docking and gantries.
Use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders and sanders.
Use of machine shop equipment including mill, lathe, saws, tube bender and hydraulic tube bender.
Assembly of access structures, ground support equipment, and similar products.
Packing and protection of parts and products.
On-site - Installation of aviation and rail access equipment
As and where the business needs require, you will attend on-site installations alongside our senior service engineer. The work will be of similar nature to the factory work.
On site work is expected to take up between 30% and 50% of the year.
Complete on-site inductions and briefings.
Use of forklifts, scissor lifts and Boom lifts to complete installations. Repairs and Service
Responsible for all in-house engineering jobs, repairs and manufacturing contract repairs and projects.
Manufacture, assemble, Inspection, servicing and repair work of the and other GSE suppliers ground support equipment.
Small batch and one-off manufacturing.
Repair of GSE and Access products (manufacturers).
Preparation and packaging of onsite installation jobs. Application Process
