Reception Manager

9am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (35 hour working week)

Easily accessible Birmingham City location (free onsite parking).

A newly created opportunity for a Reception Manager to join the Head Office of a highly successful family-run manufacturing business with a long-established Industry reputation.

Reporting to and supporting the Strategic Head of Commercial, your responsibilities will range from managing the Head Office Reception / Switchboard area, assisting the Sales & Marketing Teams with administration duties, and co-ordinating events and travel.

Daily responsibilities will include...

* Management of the Reception / Switchboard team; organising the rota and ensuring cover for breaks and holidays – providing cover and assistance, as required.

* General administrative support to the Strategic Head of Commercial, as well as the Heads of Sales, Marketing and Policy.

* Supporting event co-ordination, travel and accommodation bookings; attending events, as required.

* Support the identification of tender opportunities and assist in completing commercial bids, maintaining the bid library.

* Support budget control for commercial contracts.

* Administration of internal systems relating to customer management.

The required skills and experience....

* Front of house reception / switchboard experience in a commercial environment.

* Previous line management experience is essential for this role.

* Competent administration skills with strong attention to detail.

* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

* Written and verbal communication skills with all levels of seniority.

* Ability to self-sufficiently prioritise workload, and a flexible, ‘hands on’ approach towards supporting business needs.

* Well organised with the ability to work on own initiative.
