Job Description: School Cleaner

Overview: Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner to join our client Primary School based in Waterlooville. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance: Carry out general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising classrooms, restrooms, and communal areas to maintain a hygienic school environment.
Waste Management: Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly, adhering to recycling practices.
Health and Safety: Follow health and safety guidelines, using cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively.
Inventory Management: Support the management of cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment needs to the Facilities Manager.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth and efficient school operations.Contract/Position Details:

Position: School Cleaner

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Contract Type: Contract
Minimum Rate of Pay: From £13.09 per hour
Shifts: Two hours per day

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

Qualifications: No formal qualifications are necessary, but prior cleaning experience, particularly in schools, is preferred.
Training: Knowledge of health and safety regulations is an advantage; some training will be provided.Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this role with Prospero Teaching, candidates must:

Have the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the child barred list, registered with the online update service, or be willing to undergo a new DBS check.
