SmartPro are working with one of the most vocationally diverse employee-owned independent training providers and we are pleased to be recruiting for a Youth Tutor.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 4.30pm
Salary: £25,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct initial learner interviews, including assessments using various tools.
* Facilitate learner inductions, introducing them to digital platforms, curriculum, and qualifications.
* Collaborate with learners to plan and document their learning and assessment processes.
* Deliver engaging sessions using diverse teaching strategies, tailored to individual and group needs.
* Create lesson plans that include a mix of class-wide, individual, paired, group, and differentiated activities.
* Provide targeted support to learners with specific needs or those at pre-entry levels, ensuring they meet qualification goals within set timelines.
* Work closely with Lead Workers to identify opportunities for learner progression.
* Maintain up-to-date, accurate learner records and complete all required documentation, including progress reviews and assessments.
* Support administrative duties, ensuring efficient and compliant paperwork management.
* Work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality learning experience for all learners.
* Ensure all work adheres to Work-Based Learning Professional Standards, the Education Workforce Code of Practice, and the company’s Code of Conduct.
* Participate in training and personal development programs to continuously enhance skills and performance.
General Duties:
* Safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
* Uphold the company's safeguarding policies, promoting equality, and challenging prejudice, discrimination, and stereotyping.
* Follow the company’s health and safety protocols, taking appropriate actions to protect the safety of learners, staff, and visitors.
* Support and promote the organization’s core values in all activities.
* Identify and report any workplace health and safety risks to the designated officer.
* Actively promote the company to learners, employers, and other stakeholders.
* Perform other duties as required by the company.
