About the Role
As a dedicated teaching assistant, you will provide one-to-one support to a child with trauma-related needs, helping them feel secure and confident in their learning environment. Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent one-to-one support to the child, addressing both academic and emotional needs.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored learning and behavior strategies.
Foster a safe, trusting relationship with the child, promoting confidence and well-being.
Help the child engage with classroom activities and manage their emotions effectively.
Monitor progress and contribute to reports for teachers and parents.
About You
We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
Has experience supporting children with trauma, emotional, or social difficulties.
Is empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping children overcome challenges.
Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with children.
Works well as part of a team, following guidance from teachers and SEN professionals.
Has relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, trauma-informed practice) or a willingness to learn.
