Systems Configuration Analyst

As a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy for a technical Systems Configuration Analyst to join the Gregory Group Technology Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make your own within the Gregory Group.

The position of Systems Configuration Analyst involves:

Owning the configuration, deployment, maintenance and support for our Transport Management Systems (TMS) - the operational systems that manage end-to-end execution of all our transport activities.
Designing system solutions and processes, carrying out system changes and implementing new capabilities aligned to our business transformation plan or project portfolio.
Supporting the onboarding of new customers and working with operations to optimise customer processes.
Specifying, delivering and testing data integrations into and through our TMS system including EDI, other flat file and API integrations.
Promoting standard ways of working, optimising system performance and supporting all operational areas with efficient system-driven processes.
Managing routine system updates and defining test requirements, writing test scripts, carrying out and coordinating system testing alongside changes, updates, and implementations. This will include following the Technology change management procedure.
Working with the wider Group Technology team to ensure smooth running of systems and relevant dependent services such as integration, reporting and infrastructure.
Working closely with our PMO function and assigned Project Manager's, updating on task progress and escalating risks or dependencies where necessary.
Using our project and task management tool, JIRA, ensuring that tasks as prioritised and kept up to date for visibility across the team and PMO.
Maintaining and managing relationships with key external system providers to support either solution delivery or resolution of escalated support issues.
Maintaining system related documentation including process flows, training materials and support content.
Delivering critical care following changes and new implementations and supporting service transition to BAU.
Participation in the Technology on-call rota.

Essential Skills or experience required Systems Configuration Analyst:

This is a hands-on technical role, so experience of configuring and administering business systems or applications deployed across a large and diverse workforce is essential. It spans requirements gathering, business analysis and system configuration / management.
High-level of technical proficiency, IT aptitude and a general interest in technology, systems and software.
A confidence of working with data and experience of scripting or programming, with SQL being highly advantageous.
Critical thinking and analytical mindset to problem solving.
Occasional travel to other group sites will be required for this role, so a Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Salary for Systems Configuration Analyst offer in the range of £36,000 - £42,000 per annum dependant on experience, inclusive of on-call allowance.
Hybrid working available with 3 days in office, 2 at home.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30hrs to 17:00hrs with flexibility around project go-lives and system maintenance.
