Street Cleaner Team Member

Environmental services include waste collections, grounds maintenance and street cleansing and there is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the team.

As part of the role, you will be required to carry out the removal of both litter and fly tipping across the Borough. You will need to engage with residents in the local community and work proactively with all members of the team including external agencies.

We are looking for highly motivated, flexible individuals who have good communication and interpersonal skills with a positive approach to teamwork and co-operation. You will need to be solution focused and have the ability to adhere to health and safety risk assessments and operating procedures. Previous Street Cleansing knowledge within North Tyneside would be advantageous. There will also be the opportunity for ongoing personal development and training.

Successful applicants must be able to work 37 hours a week Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may also be available.
