Teaching Assistant Opportunity – January Start

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant SEN school in Tunbridge Wells.

This well-regarded SEN school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges. The school is committed to fostering independence, building confidence, and celebrating every child's unique potential.

Your Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support to students.
Assist with classroom activities, personal care, and behavior management.
Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
What We’re Looking For:

A caring and patient individual with a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
