The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Director, where you will be managing to day to operations of the finance team. Key areas of responsibility to include:
* Overseeing transaction finance functions – authorise supplier payments and staff expenses
* Prepare and process journals
* Reconcile general ledger and control accounts
* Fixed asset register maintenance
* Monthly sales analysis in preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
* Month and year end preparation and audit
* VAT returns
* Submitting data surveys for ONS
* Assist with preparation of financial data and reports
* Business partnering
Personal Profile
We are looking to speak to experienced accountants who are looking for a secure and role within a stable and profitable business. You will have previously worked in a similar role and used to overseeing the transactional finance function alongside supporting the Finance Director in day-to-day accounting activities.
Hours of Work / Benefits
* Weekly hours are 39.5. 8:30 till 5pm Monday – Thursday, finishing at 4:30 on Friday.
* Holiday starts at 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
