Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Timber Product Stock Controller. This dual role involves managing the stock of timber products within our warehouse/yard/production areas organise required production products. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock control/counting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the appropriate forklift license – (Not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Control:

* Oversee and maintain accurate stock levels of all timber products.

* Conduct regular stock checks, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.

* Update stock records and inventory management systems with incoming and outgoing timber products.

* Assist in managing stock rotation, ensuring older products are used before new stock.

* Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast stock requirements and manage orders.

* Ensure correct labelling and storage of timber products in compliance with safety and quality standards.

* Prepare stock reports for management, noting any issues or opportunities for improvement.

* Assist with the manual handling of stock when required.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in stock control or warehouse operations, preferably in the timber or building materials industry.

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Good computer skills for updating stock records and inventory management systems.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse/yard environments.

* Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy timber products as required.

* Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of inventory management software systems.

* Familiarity with stock forecasting and ordering processes.

* Experience working with timber products or building materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.85 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
