Network Architect (DV Cleared) - Major Technology Transition Programme
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect with active DV clearance to join our team for a major technology transition initiative. This is a contract role anticipated to last up to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Architecture Design:
Develop high-level network architectures that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Design and document network standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security best practices are integrated into the architecture.
Technology Transition:
Lead and coordinate the migration of network infrastructure to new technologies and platforms.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the transition.
Develop and execute detailed migration plans and schedules.
Collaborate with network engineers to ensure smooth implementation.
Capacity Planning:
Analyze network traffic patterns and identify future capacity needs.
Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure optimal network performance.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with network equipment vendors.
Evaluate and select network hardware and software solutions.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.Required Qualifications:
Active DV Clearance: Essential.
Extensive Network Architecture Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures.
CCNP or CCIE Certification: Mandatory.
Strong Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime)
Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python)
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Desired Qualifications:
Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI)
Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN)If you possess the required skills, experience, clearance level, and certifications, and are eager to contribute to a significant technology transition, we encourage you to apply.
