Our client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner in the Uttoxeter area to coordinate daily operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products to customers.

Description

The role of Transport Planner will involve:

Working Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-4pm
Producing an efficient transport plan to ensure timely deliveries.
Optimising and monitoring costs by liaising with the third party logistics supplier.
Monitoring vehicle movements.
Managing POs and dealing with any issues.
Keeping the system and trackers accurately updated.
Occasional cover of sickness/absence in customer services.
Managing orders on relevant customer portals.
Liaising with the planning team to resolve an potential issues with orders.Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

Experience in a transport planning/coordinating role (over 12 months desirable).
The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Proficiency in using IT systems (ideally SAP and Excel).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.Job Offer
