Remit:

* As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair & service of injection moulding tools, responsible for the on-time delivery of tooling to the quality expected by the company.

* You will be involved in the manufacture and modification of injection mould tools in a modern and well equipped toolroom, with Hurco machining centres, Sodick Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, in house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill

Role:

* Use of manual milling machines

* Use of lathes

* Use of surface and cylindrical grinders

* Use of manual and CNC spark eroders

* Use of CNC wire eroder

* Modification & repair of Injection Mould Tools

* Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools

* Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders

* Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting

* Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding

* Assist the Production Team in trouble shooting tooling and moulding faults.

* Ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout

Requirements:

* Experience in injection mould Toolmaking, and high precision machining Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair

* Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety

* Experience of preparing new Mould Tools for Production

* Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting Experience in toolmaking, manual milling, turning, grinding, EDM Wire and spark erosion and fitting. CNC Machining experience an advantage.

* Candidate to have the ability to communicate well and be part of a team in a small business
