Gi Group are looking for a Wickman Operator to work on their double day shifts or night shifts.

The Employer

This company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts, and fasteners predominately for the aerospace industry. They are looking for Manual Machinist or individuals with a manufacturing or production mindset to join their expanding team due to their business rapidly growing.

The Job

To operate and set Wickman Machines
Loading and unloading the machine
Using measuring equipment i.e., verniers, callipers etc to inspect finished products for quality specification
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Working to small tolerances
Knowledge of tools and Peterson tooling, advantageous
5/8 + 1 inch 6 spindle Wickman
Performing drilling, turning, reeming and operatingThe Ideal Candidate

Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or production environment
Working well as part of a team
Machining experience essential - Wickman cam auto
Proactive approach to work
Working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred 5 years minimum experience or engineering apprenticeship trained
