The Resourcing Team is working with a national group of 13 independent OFSTED-regulated schools to hire a Teacher to join their team in Tees Valley.
In their schools there is an average of 30-55 pupils on roll which allows them to create a nurturing and encouraging environment for the students. As a teacher, you must have experience in a secondary setting, whether that be mainstream or an alternative provision. It is crucial that you can use your passion for education to foster a love of learning and provide our young people with a stimulating environment where they can learn and flourish.
At Tees Valley, they support approximately 30 pupils on roll to ensure that we can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, four teachers, and three support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with a number of schools across our group.
About the role:
You will be an integral part of developing the work of and giving pupils the chance to either return back into mainstream schools or prepare for the next steps in their journey, whether that be to college, an apprenticeship or a different Post-16 pathway. If successfully appointed, you would be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students throughout the school. Due to the diversity of the education that you will provide, we do not require a subject specialism. However, the successful candidate must be able to adapt and differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, who will have a range of abilities.
Role and responsibilities:
* Supporting all students throughout the school in a 1:1, whole class support or outside the class capacity
* Giving the pupils the chance to either get back into mainstream schools or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway
* Contribute to a positive ethos for learning
* Overtly promote the values and achievements of the school to the community
* Be aware of and follow the company Equality, Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies
* Have and create high expectations of staff and students
Requirements before applying to the role:
* Teachers – to hold, or be willing to work towards, QTS/QTLS
* Proven track record of raising attainment, supporting behavioural challenges and demonstrating pastoral care.
Passionate about developing staff as well as students. Throughout your time, you will be fully supported with a range of CPD, career progression and in house training, which includes paid qualifications. This goes alongside numerous other benefits such as a pension scheme and parental leave.
Highlights of our benefits package include:
* A values-based Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Recognition Awards for employees.
* On-site parking and where it is not available, parking can be expensed.
* £500 Referral Bonus for referring new talent to join our family.
* Professional qualifications support for apprentices and paid membership.
* Death in service insurance of 4 times salary.
* Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave – After a required length of service.
* MiRewards benefits platform offers shopping discounts, fuel cards and more.
* Access to Medicash, including assistance with the cost of eye tests, optical, dental, prescriptions and holistic treatments, amounting to £900 per year.
* Cycle to Work Scheme for all eligible employees.
* Enhanced Employee Assistance Programme for employees and immediate Family.
* Group support including annual Group conference and annual review of benefits.
We would love to hear from applicants who are passionate about working with young people who need support for their positive change and lead a team of peers with the same mindset.
