We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Goods-In Operative to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of demanding and fast paced warehouse by assisting with various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties of the role will include but will not be limited to;

1. Receiving and Inspecting Goods: When new stock or supplies arrive, goods in operatives are responsible for unloading and checking them against the delivery notes to ensure accuracy and quality

2. Organising Stock and Storage Management: They organize and store goods in designated areas, ensuring that items are stored safely and efficiently.

3. Inventory Management and Stock Control: Keeping track of inventory levels, updating records, and conducting regular stock checks to prevent discrepancies

4. Order Picking and Packing: Selecting items for customer orders and packing them securely for dispatch

5. Dispatching Goods for Delivery: Preparing goods for shipment, including labeling and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed

6. Maintaining a Clean and Safe Working Environment: Ensuring the warehouse is clean and adhering to health and safety regulations

7. Collaborating with Colleagues and Supervisors: Working closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations

8. Operating Warehouse Equipment and Machinery: Using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods safely and efficiently

Skills

* Experience in warehouse management systems MINTSOFT is essentialfor efficient inventory control.

* Proficient in materials handling techniques, ensuring safe practices during shipping and receiving operations.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the role effectively.

* Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.

* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
