Southam, United Kingdom CV-Library Full time

Our client is a leading provider of CNC Technologies, with a global customer base. They are currently in the process of establishing a UK presence and are therefore looking to recruit a Graduate Trainee, who will be tasked with installing, servicing and maintaining the machinery on client sites around the country. This is a newly-created role and you will be based in their Southam workshop, with the requirement to attend client sites across the UK on occasion.

We are seeking applications from people who have good general mechanical and electrical engineering skills, a relevant engineering degree, and who are happy working in a small organisation, whereby the daily duties will vary daily. Full training will be provided, so this is a fantastic opportunity with future growth prospects

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Troubleshooting – speaking with customers on the telephone and assisting them with faults or queries on a first-line basis.
Visiting customers at their premises to repair, install and maintain the machinery. This could be a ‘1 day’ fix/install, or the job could take a few days, so may require you to stay away for a few days at a time.
Provide training to customers on machine usage and maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement processes, suggesting enhancements to products or services.
General assistance with regards to receiving stock into the warehouse, or postage of spares or consumables as required (Forklift Truck training will be provided).
General assistance with the smooth running of the site. Skills & Experience Required:

Relevant Engineering Degree and some practical work experience, ideally with industrial machinery.
Good problem-solving skills, with a professional telephone manner.
Flexible – able to travel to customer sites across the UK, so you will need to have a driving license and your own transport. Annual travel allowance paid in addition to basic salary.
Current passport for overseas travel as required (very occasional). If you feel that you have the skills and experience that our client is looking for, please apply for a fast response.
