Enterprise Architect – London, UK
Are you ready to design architecture that shapes the future of an entire organization?
Our client is looking for an Enterprise Architect to lead and strategize at the intersection of technology and business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on big-picture thinking, has a meticulous eye for detail, and possesses the technical acumen to build scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions in complex environments.
What’s in it for you?
In this position, you’ll define and shape architecture strategies that directly influence the organization’s success. You’ll work alongside senior leaders and technical teams to ensure that technology aligns with both current needs and long-term goals. This is a role for someone ready to drive innovation, uphold governance, and provide clear direction across all architectural domains.
What you’ll be doing:
*
Enterprise Architecture Design and Strategy: You’ll develop an enterprise architecture strategy that aligns IT and business goals, setting standards and best practices that ensure consistency across the organization. You’ll lead the design of scalable, secure technology solutions that meet today’s needs and are ready for tomorrow’s challenges.
*
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business leaders and IT, collaborating to understand processes, challenges, and technology requirements. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the architecture supports and enhances organizational goals.
*
Technology Roadmapping and Solution Architecture: Own and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business priorities. Evaluate emerging tech trends, drive solution architecture for projects, and ensure everything fits within the broader enterprise structure.
*
Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce governance to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. You’ll monitor systems for alignment, establish KPIs to measure success, and ensure that architecture supports security and compliance.
*
Risk Management: Identify potential technology risks and develop mitigation strategies. Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure that architecture adheres to security standards and best practices.
*
Data Architecture and Integration: Develop a cohesive data architecture to support organization-wide analytics, decision-making, and data quality. Ensure integration between systems and data sources for enhanced reliability and accessibility.
*
Documentation and Communication: Keep comprehensive documentation of architecture, technology standards, and models. Regularly communicate architecture status, risks, and updates to senior leadership and provide training and guidance to ensure alignment across IT teams.
What you bring:
* Experience: At least 8 years in IT, with 3-5 years in a senior architecture role. A proven track record in enterprise architecture design within complex organizations is a must.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, experience with modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx), and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration technologies.
* Knowledge of Security: Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards, including GDPR.
Soft Skills:
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, making complex ideas accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
* A collaborative approach to cross-functional teams and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Why apply?
Our client believes in creating a positive, inclusive work environment that values excellence, diversity, and continuous growth. This role offers the autonomy to shape architecture strategies with a real impact and an opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s top minds.
Perks and benefits:
* Private healthcare for you and your family.
* 25 days of annual leave (plus an extra half-day on Christmas Eve) with the option to buy 5 additional days.
* A generous company pension scheme.
* Annual performance-based bonus and share ownership options.
* Tax-efficient benefits, including cycle-to-work and charitable giving schemes.
