Nursery Chef

Seeking a experienced Chef that has experience in Early Years nutrition and food preparation for children 0-8 years. Also seeking someone with a A NVQ or overseas cooking qualification or additional certificates and training in food preparation.

Starting salary:

£28,000- £29,000pa + further training , career progression opportunities, no evenings or weekends , paid holidays, 11- 12 weeks holidays.

Working Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday. Day time shifts only. No evenings or weekends.

Job description:

Oversee the complete running of the nursery kitchen and will be an enthusiastic, motivated who relishes working as part of a small kitchen team where high standards are expected. Produce nutritional dishes for children in line with our menus and recipes, will have a strong awareness of allergens and will remain vigilant to every dish ensuring each child’s health and dietary requirements are safeguarded in this regard. Parental preferences will be fully respected and considered when producing daily meals.

The Nursery Chef will be responsible for maintaining good relationships with food suppliers and our accounting team when making orders and direct communications (email/verbally) to ensure all required food items are available in line with the menu.
