Key Duties & Tasks: 

At all times the technical estimator must professionally maintain customer relations with various current and prospective accounts to take orders at budgeted/targeted margins
Quoting and bid-writing for and on behalf of other members of the sales team
The estimator must liaise with our manufacturing, drawing, despatch, and purchasing teams to ensure that the customer experience is first class throughout, and keep abreast of raw material prices, labour timescales, and lead times to aid you in the estimating process
The technical estimator will be required to carry out detailed take-offs from drawings, to ensure the bid is accurate to the details at hand, and that the products quoted are suitable
To support the sales function of the business, ensuring that quotations and bids are submitted to the highest level of detail, accurate, and on time   General: 

Adhere at all times to the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements, and report incidents management to enable actions to be taken to prevent reoccurrence. Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities
Conform to Health Safety & Environment rules as a baseline when operating on customer sites and follow the customer’s rules as required if they are above the requirements
Promote a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture when carrying out any work on behalf of the company and be empowered to raise concerns when they arise
Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities

Education & Qualifications:
(Essential)

5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics. Skills, Knowledge & Experience: 

Sales Office Experience
Excellent communication skills, both internally & externally
Flexible attitude to work and changing environment
Able to work in a team with minimal supervision
IT literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications  Desirable: 

Experience in the manufacturing or fencing industry
Experience in Manufacturing estimating
Experience in B2B sales
Experience in maintaining CRM software
Ability to read and interpret construction & product drawings   Competency & Behaviour:
